Sölden (Austria) / Saint-Imier (Switzerland), 26 October 2018 – In the context of the FIS Forum held today in Sölden, Austria, and marking the opening of the 2018/2019 alpine skiing season, Longines unveiled its new model, the Conquest Chronograph by Mikaela Shiffrin, inspired by the alpine skiing champion. For the first time, Longines is offering a dial made of blue aventurine, and its glitter evokes the sparkling snow cover that drapes the ski slopes carved out by the American champion. In addition, the case back features a special engraving of Mikaela Shiffrin in action, as well as her signature. The beginning of the ski season was also an opportunity for Longines to announce the renewal of its Longines Rising Ski Stars prize, which will reward the the top female skier under 21 and the top male skier under 23 of the FIS World Cup season, in Soldeu, Andorra, in March 2019.
