Paris (France) / Saint-Imier (Switzerland), 28 May 2016 – Spanish player María Dolores López Martínez was declared winner of the 7th edition of the Longines Future Tennis Aces - held for the very first time on the Esplanade de la Défense - by defeating Kristina Volgapkina from Russia 4-2 4-1. The event was rounded off by an exhibition match between both finalists and the two tennis legends Arantxa Sanchez, patron of the 2016 Longines Future Tennis Aces and Kim Clijsters. María Dolores was presented with a Longines watch - the Conquest Roland-Garros - as well as a cup from the hands of Juan-Carlos Capelli, Vice President and Head of International Marketing and Jean Gachassin, President of the FFT. She also received an annual sponsorship until her 16th birthday for her tennis equipment.
