Billy Twomey, wins the Longines Grand Prix of the CSIO Barcelona 2010
With a passion for equestrian sports, Longines is responsible for timing various CSIO events including the Nations Cup. This year, the famous Swiss watch brand was very pleased to be back in Barcelona. From 16th to 19th September 2010, the brand was the Official Timekeeper and Partner at the Nations Cup Promotional League Final and was proud to add this stage to its equestrian events. In fact, during six years, from 2003 to 2008, Longines had already assured the timekeeping at the CSIO Barcelona when it still was the final stage of the Nations Cup.
On Saturday night, 18th September 2010, Longines had the honour and pleasure to present the most important competition of the CSIO Barcelona: the Longines Grand Prix. The Irishman Billy Twomey with Je T’aime Flamenco obtained his third victory achieving the best time without penalty. The second position has been won by Karina Truelsen from Denmark riding Lord if the Chalousse. Finally, the Dutch rider Leon Thijssen went third with Tyson.
During the CSIO Barcelona, Longines presented a watch that embodies its philosophy as well as its famous slogan “Elegance is an attitude”. Longines PrimaLuna is a tribute to the modern woman.
