29th Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships 2009 in Mie Saint-Imier (Switzerland) / Mie (Japan), September 7th, 2009 - In cooperation with the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG), Longines will be awarding the prestigious Longines Prize for Elegance at the 29th Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships 2009 in Mie. The prize honors the athletes judged to be the most elegant during an Artistic or Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championship competition. The winners of the Longines Prize for Elegance will receive the famous statue by Swiss artist Jean-Pierre Gerber, a Conquest watch as well as a check worth US$ 5,000. Furthermore, Longines is proud to present its new Ambassador of Elegance, Evgeniya Kanaeva, the Olympic all-around gold medalist.
