Dubai (UAE), 31st March, 2012 - Culminating with the exciting Dubai World Cup, Dubai’s racing season came to an end on the 31st March 2012. In light of the exclusive partnership between Longines and the renowned Meydan Group, the Swiss watchmaker was the official timekeeper for the Dubai World Cup, titled the World’s Richest Race. The last race before the official world cup race on the day, the Sheema Classic presented by Longines, boasts a grand prize of US$ 5 million and is among the richest races run on turf. Lending the event an even greater touch of glamour and charm, Longines’ Ambassador of Elegance Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan awarded the “Most Elegant Lady” with a Longines Saint-Imier Collection timepiece.
