FIS World Cup Alpine Skiing – The Start of a New and Promising Season
Sölden (Austria) / St. Imier (Switzerland), 25 October 2013 – As the official timekeeper for the World Cup Alpine Skiing competitions organised by the FIS, Longines is looking forward to starting the coming skiing season. The famous Swiss watch brand will be launching a new idea, namely the Longines Future Ski Champions, a race for skiers under the age of 16 from all around the world that will take place in Val d’Isère. And once again the Longines Rising Ski Stars prize, a project instigated last year, will be awarded at the end of the season to the two most successful young skiers who have taken part in the FIS World Cup. Emphasising the precision and elegance of this discipline, Longines will be unveiling the official chronograph for the season, a model in the Conquest Classic line.
