Horse riding seems to be a common passion in the Rothenberger family. At a young age and with an innate passion for horses, Semmieke Rothenberger has established herself as one of the most talented dressage riders of her generation. Studying psychology at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt, the rider who is combining German rigorousness and elegance, has already won twenty-three medals, including sixteen gold between 2011 and 2019. She was notably rewarded in November 2019 with the Longines FEI Rising Star Award, which highlights athletes between the ages of 14 and 21.

In 2020, she won a prize at the Longines FEI Rising Star Best of the Best 2020 ceremony. In September 2021, Germany’s Semmieke Rothenberger celebrated her second gold of the International Equestrian Federation (FEI) Dressage European Championships U25 in Hagen. She has learned not to take anything for granted and to enjoy every second with her wonderful horses as she pursues her dream.
