Born into a family with no ties to the equestrian world, Jane Richard only started horse riding as a teenager. Her passion and positive attitude convinced her parents to buy her first horse, Flamenco. The young rider quickly proved her ability in the discipline. Jane’s first victory came at the age of just 15, at the 1998 Swiss Final Trophy in Kerzers (Switzerland).

Over the course of the following years, Jane Richard rode in major international competitions and delivered strong results. Further to the birth of their son in 2011, Jane took over management of the legendary club La Madonnina (now named Equestrian Center La Madonnina) in Italy to focus on the development of young riders and on horse training. Alongside the management of her equestrian center, the Swiss rider continues to take part in the top equestrian competitions with the same passion and elegance. Her memorable sporting achievements include taking the 14th individual place at the FEI Jumping World CupTM Final in Geneva in 2010 and having a stunning clear round in the FEI World Equestrian Games in Caen in 2014; she also took part in Longines Global Champions Tours and a few Longines FEI Jumping Nations CupTM series with her impressive horsemanship.
