Alexis Monney, born in 2000, joined the Longines Ski Athletes' family this year. A talented athlete, he began skiing at the age of two near his home in Les Paccots (SUI). After practicing various sports, he decided to concentrate on skiing at the age of 12, with the help of his father, an experienced ski coach. His choice and hard work over the years led him to the 2020 Junior World Downhill Gold Medal in Narwik (NOR). Joining the Swiss Ski team for the 2020-2021 season, he achieved strong results in two of the downhill winter classics last season, finishing 10th in Wengen, 11th in Kitzbühel and 18th at the World Championships in Courchevel-Méribel.
To be prepared for the new season, Alexis has focused sharply on his performance in speed competitions, downhill and super-G. Working hard to achieve the best possible results is a value he shares with Longines.
