For a century, Longines has been a cornerstone of alpine skiing.  The story began in 1924, when the brand supplied timing equipment for a ski race near its factory in Switzerland. This pioneering spirit continued in 1937 at the World Alpine Ski Championships in Chamonix, France where Longines tested photoelectric cells for the first time, setting a new standard in timing accuracy. Today, Longines remains at the forefront of alpine skiing, continuously improving its timekeeping technologies with innovations such as the Longines Live Alpine Data system. As an Official Partner of the International Ski Federation (FIS) and Official Timekeeper of the FIS Alpine Ski World Cups and the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships, the brand also proudly supports emerging talent, alongside its pool of elite skiers, including star athletes Mikaela Shiffrin and Marco Odermatt.
